The 1878 Media privacy policy covers 1878media.com and Evertonia.com. At its foundation is the commitment not to share your personal details with any third party without your permission.

Any information collected as a result of your usage of the websites or the magazine is done so for the purpose of handling your initial subscription, the maintenance of a user profile by which you can access the content, providing technical or membership support, or all of the above. No personal data is collected automatically – only information that you voluntarily provide is collected.

What we collect

• For the creation of your Evertonia membership and/or patron subscription, we request your full name, email address and chosen password which are then stored in a database. The financial details you provide to purchase your subscription are handled securely by Stripe and are neither collected nor stored by ToffeeWeb or 1878 Media.
• The Evertonia.com website use cookies – small, harmless text files that are stored in your computer, tablet or smartphone's web browser – that are required to store limited data in relation to your user profile through which the status of your paid subscription to the publication is verified. "Session cookies" that keep you logged in for the duration of your visit are destroyed when you close the browser window; "permanent cookies", those that are stored by your browser long term, are destroyed every time you log out of your user account, which is particularly recommended if you use a shared or public device.

• We collect non-identifying data such as statistics on website usage patterns through the use of cookies and other technologies as you browse the sites. Third-party advertisers like Google Adsense may collect browsing data to tailor future advertising based on your browsing habits.
